Markus Moore

I design networks, build secure systems, and automate endpoint fleets at enterprise scale.

Portrait of Markus Moore

About

I'm a systems analyst and endpoint engineer who likes solving problems from single endpoints to enterprise scale. I graduated from Appalachian State University in May 2026 with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems (cybersecurity concentration, 3.95 GPA), and I'm ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity.

Right now I'm at CommScope building PowerShell-based automation running at scale. Before that I tested IT general controls as an IT audit intern at Grant Thornton, so now I've been involved in endpoint management from both the engineering side and the compliance side. I'm looking for full-time endpoint engineering and systems analyst roles.

Experience

  1. Endpoint Engineer Intern · CommScope

    May 2026 · August 2026

    Claremont, NC

    • Developed and deployed PowerShell remediation scripts to 18,000+ devices, driving 99.71% compliance against non-allowed software across company systems.
    • Automated Dell warranty tracking for 20,000+ enterprise devices with PowerShell, SQL, and the Dell API, enabling data-driven PC refresh planning.
  2. IT Audit & Assurance Intern · Grant Thornton LLP

    Summer 2025

    Charlotte, NC

    • Reviewed IT systems, applications, and infrastructure for effectiveness, accuracy, and alignment with internal and external requirements.
    • Tested IT general controls covering access provisioning, system development, change management, and privileged access.
    • Facilitated client walkthroughs, supporting 97%+ compliance with industry standards.
  3. Personal Trainer · Hickory Foundation YMCA

    Oct 2024 – present

    Hickory, NC

    • Design individualized training programs for a recurring client base. This is a side role that keeps my coaching and client-communication skills sharp.

Enterprise Warranty Intelligence

A 20,000-device Dell fleet had no central view of warranty status, making PC refresh planning guesswork. I built a PowerShell pipeline that pulls entitlement data from the Dell API for every device, stores it in SQL, and surfaces expiration reporting. This turns refresh planning into a data-driven process.

Home Networking Lab

A full home lab built around a Cisco SF300-24 managed switch: segmented VLANs and subnets, a NAS build, and self-hosted streaming and server applications running in Docker containers. My sandbox for networking, virtualization, and endpoint experiments. This is my happy place.
