I'm Markus Moore, an Information Systems student and lifelong Hickoryian based in Hickory, NC. My journey into tech started as a young middle schooler obsessed with learning programming, and since then I've been knees deep developing my skills and working on projects that challenge and inspire me, all while learning as much as possible about the industry as I could.

My core expertise lies in designing computer systems. I particularly enjoy designing and building computer networks. After any project, I take pride in looking at the new system erasing problems and making life easier, safer, and more fun for people.

I believe great system design is as much about communication and collaboration as it is about the tech stack. I've worked in both large and small team environments and value both deep independent focus and the energy of building alongside others.

I became certified as a personal trainer to help pay my way through college, and it is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I've worked with folks from all walks of life, and have helped 30+ clients in the last 2 years change their lives for the better. I truly enjoy getting to see the happiness and health that comes with fitness progression.

Outside of work, I'm interested in AI, music, working out, and soccer. These pursuits often feed back into my professional work in unexpected ways — like my music journey teaching me the importance of practicing until something becomes habit.

I'm currently seeking entry level roles in the tech industry, whether it be help desk, SOC work, or analyst positions. I am also working towards my Net+ certification, building AI agents to build my knowledge of future technologies, and entering my final month of my undergraduate program with Appalachian state.reach out if you'd like to connect.
